Matt grew up in Sebastopol, California, and went on to receive a B.S. in Kinesiology from Cal Poly. He later earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of New England. Since then, Matt has built a career in sports orthopedics working with professional, collegiate, and high school athletes, as well as active adults, helping them return to their sport or lifestyle following injury or surgery. Matt has a special interest helping strength athletes return to training and competition following injury.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including surfing, bodyboarding, disc golfing, camping, and hiking.
