Kazuko Mumma

Kazuko has over thirty years of experience working in the fitness industry as an educator and personal trainer in the United States and Japan. She is certified with the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), has a B.S. degree in Human Physiology and finished a Master’s program in Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2012. In addition to her work as a Certified Exercise Physiologist at Tensegrity Physical Therapy, she is also working in cardiovascular wellness and rehabilitation at Oregon Heart and Vascular Institute and as an Instructor and Personal Trainer at a local gym. Kazuko has developed a technique based on the Pilates method that has proven successful in patient care and rehabilitation especially breathing pattern disorder, diastasis, pelvic floor dysfunction and core control. Kazuko also teaches and practices Qigong. In Japan, Kazuko worked with the Japan Fitness Association (JAFA), the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Hokkaido High-Technology College in the Department of Medical Sports, Sapporo YMCA College, as well as Central Sports which is a nationwide sports franchise of over 180 fitness clubs in Japan. Her various positions included Health Fitness License Examiner, Instructor, Advisor and Personal Trainer. She is the Editor for Japan Fitness Association’s member journal.
